No. 1602. Su objetivo consistió en <strong>de</strong>terminar la distribución <strong>de</strong> las especies <strong>de</strong> manglecon base en la microtopografía. El trabajo <strong>de</strong> campo se realizó <strong>de</strong> octubre <strong>de</strong> 2009 ajunio <strong>de</strong> 2010. Se trazaron 5 transectos con dirección noreste-suroeste, en cada uno <strong>de</strong>ellos se <strong>de</strong>terminó la microtopografía utilizando la técnica <strong>de</strong> manguera <strong>de</strong> nivel y <strong>de</strong>transectos lineales, se colocaron piezómetros para <strong>de</strong>terminar parámetros fisicoquímicos<strong>de</strong>l agua subterránea. Se observaron tres especies <strong>de</strong> mangle: Rhizophora mangle,Avicenia germinans y Laguncularia racemosa, la frecuencia más alta correspon<strong>de</strong> aLaguncularia racemosa con 100%. La microtopografía muestra que el manglar seencuentra <strong>de</strong>s<strong>de</strong> los 53 cm a los -30 cm. Las variables fisicoquímicas se comportaroncon pequeñas variaciones entre meses <strong>de</strong> muestreo, transectos y piezómetros,encontrándose solo diferencias significativas por salinidad entre piezómetros, conmedias para oxigeno disuelto <strong>de</strong> 2.94 ppm, temperatura 25.5°C, salinidad 18 ups y Ph7.27.EVALUACIÓN DEL HÁBITAT DE MANGLAR EN LA PENÍNSULA DE BAJACALIFORNIA, MÉXICO.González-Zamorano*, Nava-Sánchez, y Lluch-Cota,Centro Interdisciplinario <strong>de</strong> Ciencias Marinas, IPNzamorano04@cibnor.mxEl hábitat <strong>de</strong> sistemas <strong>de</strong> manglar pue<strong>de</strong> ser <strong>de</strong>scrito mediante una aproximacióngeomorfológica, don<strong>de</strong> se i<strong>de</strong>ntifiquen los atributos críticos para la presencia ymantenimiento <strong>de</strong> estos organismos. En este trabajo se i<strong>de</strong>ntifican, clasifican y evalúanlas configuraciones geomorfológicas costeras <strong>de</strong> la Península <strong>de</strong> Baja California y serelacionan con la cobertura <strong>de</strong> vegetal <strong>de</strong> los manglares. Con este fin, se realizaronanálisis cartográficos y <strong>de</strong> fotointerpretación en gabinete y campo (20092010), los datosse integraron a un sistema <strong>de</strong> información geográfica (ArcView 3.2) para el análisismorfométrico. Los resultados muestran que las comunida<strong>de</strong>s <strong>de</strong> mangle se encuentranasociadas a costas <strong>de</strong>positacionales <strong>de</strong> origen eólico, aluvial, lacustre y litoral. Estosambientes se repiten en ambas costas, aunque con mayor proporción en el Pacífico(78%) correlacionada con la abundancia <strong>de</strong> mangle, mientras que en el Golfo, don<strong>de</strong>dominan ambientes aluviales, no se encontró correlación. A escala local se i<strong>de</strong>ntificómayor variedad <strong>de</strong> costas <strong>de</strong>positacionales, con una mayor colonización asociada aambientes protegidos <strong>de</strong>l oleaje, don<strong>de</strong> sobresalen las lagunas costeras. Se i<strong>de</strong>ntificaron93
cinco tipos <strong>de</strong> lagunas, <strong>de</strong> barrera, tectónicas, <strong>de</strong> <strong>de</strong>positación eólica y <strong>de</strong> erosióndiferencial. El tipo, distribución y morfometría <strong>de</strong> las lagunas es contrastante entreambas costas. Se encontró una correlación positiva (r2= 0.84) entre el tamaño<strong>de</strong> la laguna y la abundancia <strong>de</strong> mangle para todos los tipos, excepto las <strong>de</strong> origentectónico. El procedimiento se aplico en cuatro formas microtopográficas:costa (CO), canal (CA), inundación permanente (IP) e inundacióntemporal (IT). El objetivo fue evaluar la estructura y <strong>de</strong>sarrollo <strong>de</strong> las especies conrespecto a la micro-topografía. Los datos se obtuvieron <strong>de</strong> las variables; número <strong>de</strong>individuos, numero <strong>de</strong> ramas, frecuencia, altura, área basal e índice <strong>de</strong> valor <strong>de</strong>importancia (IVI). Los resultados indican que Laguncularia racemosa y Rizophoramangle, <strong>de</strong>sarrollan mayor número <strong>de</strong> individuos y ramas CO y CA. Avicenniagerminans en IT. Las tres especies <strong>de</strong>sarrollan mayor altura y mayor área basal en CO yCA. El IVI mostró que L. racemosa es dominante en CO y CA; R. mangle en IP y A.germinans en IT. La prueba <strong>de</strong> Kruskall-Wallis indica que es p < 0.05 <strong>de</strong> la abundancia<strong>de</strong> individuos, <strong>de</strong>l <strong>de</strong>sarrollo <strong>de</strong> ramas, <strong>de</strong> la altura y el área basal en L. racemosa y R.mangle. En A. geminans, es significativa en individuos y ramas. El contraste <strong>de</strong> rangomúltiple <strong>de</strong> Duncan (p< 0.05) muestra diferencia al menos en tres <strong>de</strong> las cuatro formasmicro-topográficas analizadas. R. mangle y L. racemosa muestran los menores índices<strong>de</strong> abundancia y <strong>de</strong>sarrollo en IT, no así A. germinans que es abundante.94
