- 161 -ABSTRACTThe topic is Multivariant Statistical Analysis of the Main Chemist Components ofCooper Coin Axes for determining different groups according to their composition. This research work was developed to implement a statistical culture within anarchaeological context focuses on the analysis and the study of the chemistcomposition of Coin Axes. The main goal was to carry out a multivariante statistical analysis of the principalcomponents found about cooper coin axes with the purpose to determine differentgroups according to their chemist composition. According to the application of thosetechniques, it was determined that axes analyzed belong to a private collection ofEcuaCorriente S. A.This study was carried out under the parameters of quantitative experimentalresearch. For beginning, this work was necessary to restore archaeological pieces beforemeasuring the chemist composition of copper coin axes with Thermo Niton machine, this procedure was developed in the ECSA archaeological laboratory, which is locatedin Tundayme parish, El Pangui canton, Zamora Chinchipe province. In the multiple linear regression study of each variable on the remaining, five modelswere chosen in order to make predictions about their coefficients to determinesquared are between 96% and 99%.By applying cluster analysis was showed the presence of 6 groups, each one fromwhich consists of coin axes of similar chemical characteristics. With the application of factor analysis was detected the presence of latent variablesthe same as suggesting that 60% of the axes are homogeneously distributed andtherefore are composed mainly by the alloy of copper and arsenic. In conclusion, the multivariante statistical techniques applied in the research were ofgreat help to the identify groups of axes formed according to their chemistcomposition. Finally it is recommended to promote this kind of study not only promote theapplication of statistical culture, but also reinforce and contribute to history andidentity of Ecuador.
