FITOSANIDAD vol. Palabras claves: Glicine max, Hirsutella nodulosa, cultivo sumergido,azúcar de cañaABSTRACTThe fungus Hirsutella nodulosa Petch is an important natural enemy ofmany phytophague mites and it is very necessary the determination ofa simple, economic and efficient culture medium for its production asbioplaguicide. Five soybean concentrations have been assayed (6;8; 10; 12 and 14% w/v) with turbinated cane sugar (3 and 4% w/v).Each combination has been distributed separately in three erlenmeyersof 300 mL with 100 mL of medium each one. They have been sterilizedin autoclave at 121ºC during 25 min and inoculated with a micelialsuspension of the fungus at 3% v/v. They were fermented four dayswith a continuous shaker at 27 ± 1ºC and 180 rpm as well as theinoculum. Each biomass was recovered on fitter paper by vacuumfiltration. They were put in an oven at 60ºC during 24 h to determinedry weight by analytical balance. The results were analyzed by anANOVA of double classification, previous data transformation in x + 1 .Means were compared by Duncan Multiple Range Test for p < 0.05.The best combination of soybean plus sugar was 14 and 3% w/vrespectively, with a mean up to 1.14 g (dry weight of mycelium) byeach 100 mL of medium. This result allows considering it as economicand efficient for the great scale production of this mite pathogen andwhich the first Cuban experience.
