We carry out this work in col<strong>la</strong>boration with the University of Huelva and the University of Lille.Finally, the collisional study of SO 2 with ortho-H 2 and para-H 2 has been completed at very low temperatures.Determination of the collisional parameters for abundant species in astrophysical sources and molecu<strong>la</strong>r hydrogen isessential to un<strong>de</strong>rstand the observed intensities. These <strong>de</strong>pend on the popu<strong>la</strong>tions of the levels, which are the resultof radiative and collisional excitations and <strong>de</strong>-excitations. We are studying sulphur oxi<strong>de</strong>s and carbon-chains. Theparameters are obtained in molecu<strong>la</strong>r dynamics calcu<strong>la</strong>tions using as input, Van <strong>de</strong>r Walls potential energy surfaces.These are <strong>de</strong>termined with very accurate ab initio calcu<strong>la</strong>tions.
