Estudio <strong>de</strong> caso <strong>en</strong> el marco <strong>de</strong> las t<strong>en</strong><strong>de</strong>ncias globales <strong>de</strong>l mercado»<br />

En este acto, se pres<strong>en</strong>tará la producción editorial <strong>de</strong> <strong>TASCHEN</strong> sobre arte, arquitectura y diseño <strong>en</strong> y<br />

sobre <strong>Asia</strong>, al igual que sus proyectos <strong>de</strong> futuro <strong>en</strong> la región. La expansión <strong>de</strong> <strong>TASCHEN</strong> <strong>en</strong> <strong>Asia</strong> se<br />

presta a un estudio <strong>de</strong> caso, que trata <strong>de</strong> poner <strong>en</strong> relación el mercado editorial con otros mercados y<br />

las t<strong>en</strong><strong>de</strong>ncias globales que caracterizan la economía mundial. Fundada <strong>en</strong> 1980 por B<strong>en</strong>edikt Tasch<strong>en</strong>,<br />

la editorial ti<strong>en</strong>e su se<strong>de</strong> <strong>en</strong> Colonia, con sucursales <strong>en</strong> Madrid, París, Londres, Nueva York, Hong Kong<br />

y Tokio. En el transcurso <strong>de</strong> los últimos años, la editorial ha ido ampliando sus intereses <strong>en</strong> el ámbito<br />

<strong>de</strong>l arte, la arquitectura, el diseño, la fotografía, el cine y la gastronomía, gracias a su popularidad. El<br />

éxito <strong>de</strong> la editorial ha sido garantizado al hacer accesible el libro <strong>de</strong> lujo para el gran público. El acto<br />

contará también con una exposición efímera <strong>de</strong> los libros editados por <strong>TASCHEN</strong> <strong>en</strong> los ámbitos<br />

m<strong>en</strong>cionados con explícita refer<strong>en</strong>cia a <strong>Asia</strong>.<br />

Case study on the context of the global market tr<strong>en</strong>ds»<br />

This ev<strong>en</strong>t will pres<strong>en</strong>t the books published by <strong>TASCHEN</strong> on art, architecture and <strong>de</strong>sign in and about<br />

<strong>Asia</strong>, as well as its ongoing projects in the region. <strong>TASCHEN</strong>'s expansion in <strong>Asia</strong> provi<strong>de</strong>s a case study,<br />

which relates the publishing market with other markets and global tr<strong>en</strong>ds that characterize the world<br />

economy. The publishing house was foun<strong>de</strong>d in 1980 by B<strong>en</strong>edikt Tasch<strong>en</strong> and is based in Cologne<br />

with branches in Madrid, Paris, London, New York, Hong Kong and Tokyo. In rec<strong>en</strong>t years, the publishing<br />

house has expan<strong>de</strong>d its interests in the field of art, architecture, <strong>de</strong>sign, photography, cinema and<br />

cuisine, thanks to its increasing popularity. Its success has be<strong>en</strong> therefore guaranteed by favouring<br />

the g<strong>en</strong>eral public access to the luxury books they produce. The ev<strong>en</strong>t will also inclu<strong>de</strong> an ephemeral<br />

exhibition of books published by <strong>TASCHEN</strong> within the aform<strong>en</strong>tioned fields with explicit refer<strong>en</strong>ce to<br />

<strong>Asia</strong>.<br />
