Drivers with chauffeur’s licenses must serve passengers with service dogs. <br />

Cincinnati: App must provide a link, app link, or phone number for local accessible service <br />

providers. <br />

Colorado: A passenger’s disability may not result in them being charged more for service. <br />

Drivers may not refuse to transport service animals. If a driver is unable to transport a <br />

customer’s mobility equipment, they must refer them to another driver or transportation <br />

service provider who can. <br />

Columbus: Apps must include a mechanism whereby an available driver may be contacted <br />

and asked whether or not their vehicle can accommodate an individual with disabilities. <br />

Dallas: Operating authorities are required to state on their website that wheelchair <br />

accessible vehicles are available upon request. <br />

Wheelchair accessible service may not have a higher rate than non-­‐accessible service. When <br />

a wheelchair accessible vehicle is requested, the company that fielded the request must <br />

cause one to be provided, without unreasonable delay. <br />

DC: Companies are required to produce a report detailing how they intend to increase <br />

access to wheelchair accessible service. They also must ensure that their websites and apps <br />

are usable by the blind, visually impaired, deaf, and hard of hearing. <br />

No additional charges may be levied on the disabled, in the course of accommodating them. <br />

If a wheelchair cannot fit into a vehicle, then no cancellation fee maybe charged. <br />

Drivers must be trained in how to load and unload wheelchairs and in how to treat disabled <br />

passengers with courtesy and respect. <br />

Houston: All permittees and registrants (this covers TNCs) are required to provide <br />

“consistent and equivalent service” to the disabled. Failing to do so can result in revocation <br />

or suspension of licenses / permits. <br />

If a TNC cannot provide accessible service to a passenger, it must direct them to a licensed <br />

provider that can. <br />

Illinois: TNC drivers must comply with all applicable laws regarding the accommodation of <br />

service animals. <br />

Disabled customers cannot be charged more for TNC service as a result of their disabilities. <br />

If a TNC cannot provide accessible service to a passenger, it must direct them to an alternate <br />

provider, if one is available. <br />

Oklahoma City: Drivers are required to assist passengers who use wheelchairs, but are not <br />

required to carry or lift them. Drivers are also required to assist with the assembly and <br />

disassembly of wheelchairs, so long as tools are not required. Additional fees may not be
