Austin: Drivers may not have been charged with driving without insurance or driving with a <br />

suspended license, in the past three years. <br />

Baton Rouge: TNACs must check the driving histories of applicants and permanently bar <br />

those convicted of a DUI, hit and run driving, reckless operation of a vehicle, vehicular flight <br />

from a law enforcement officer, negligent homicide involving a vehicle, or vehicular <br />

homicide in the past 7 years of driving. Also permanently barred from u<strong>sin</strong>g a TNACs <br />

platform are those convicted of driving with a suspended or revoked license in the past 3 <br />

years. <br />

California: California requires that TNCs participate in the California DMV Employer Pull <br />

Notice Program, which provides notice of new offences. Up until that program is fully <br />

available to them, TNCs are required to conduct quarterly record checks. <br />

Chattanooga: The TNC or a third party must check the driving record of prospective drivers. <br />

Chicago A: TNPs must check the driving histories of partners. Those ever convicted of <br />

reckless driving, hit and run, and driving with a suspended license are disqualified. Further <br />

disqualified are those who have had their licenses suspended or revoked in the past year. <br />

Drivers also may not have had a public chauffeur's or restricted public chauffeur's permit <br />

suspended, revoked or non-­‐renewed in the past five years. <br />

Chicago B: Drivers convicted of driving with a suspended or revoked license in the last 12 <br />

months will have their applications rejected; however, this disqualification and the one <br />

resulting from committing two or more moving violations can be removed by pas<strong>sin</strong>g a <br />

remedial driving course of the regulator’s choo<strong>sin</strong>g. Drivers also may not have had a public <br />

chauffeur's or restricted public chauffeur's permit suspended, revoked or non-­‐renewed in <br />

the past five years. <br />

Colorado: Records of checks must be kept for at least three years. <br />

Columbus: Records must be obtained by driver and brought to the regulator as part of the <br />

licen<strong>sin</strong>g process. Drivers may not have any convictions for failing to stop at an <br />

accident/collision, in the past 7 years, or for manslaughter or homicide resulting from the <br />

operation of a motor vehicle. <br />

Dallas: Drivers are disqualified from obtaining or renewing a permit if they have been at <br />

fault in more than two accidents in any 12 month period in the last 36 months. <br />

DC: PVFHCs must check the driving histories of applicants and bar those convicted of a DUI, <br />

leaving after colliding, negligent homicide, aggravated reckless driving, fleeing from a law <br />

enforcement officer in a motor vehicle, or use of a motor vehicle to commit a crime in the
