Austin: TNCs must conduct criminal record checks and may not partner with any driver that <br />
has ever been convicted of fraud, sexual offenses, use of a motor vehicle to commit a felony, <br />
gun related violations, resisting/evading arrest, reckless driving, a crime involving property <br />
damage or theft, acts of violence, or acts of terror. <br />
Baton Rouge: TNACs are required to conduct a nationwide criminal record check and a <br />
search of the National Sex Offender Registry. If an applicant has been convicted within the <br />
past 7 years of offenses against the person, public morals, or property then they are <br />
permanently barred from operating on that TNACs platform. <br />
California: When a TNC onboards a new driver, the TNC must run a criminal background <br />
check and a national sex offender database check. Anyone convicted in the past seven years <br />
of fraud, sexual offenses, use of a motor vehicle to commit a felony, a crime involving <br />
property damage and/or theft, acts of violence, or acts of terror is prohibited from offering <br />
TNC services. <br />
Chattanooga: The TNC or a third party must check the criminal record of prospective <br />
drivers. The check must include use a Multi-‐State/Juris Criminal Records Locator or a <br />
similar service with primary source search and the National Sex Offender Registry. TNCs <br />
must reject candidates who match the national sex offender database or who have been <br />
convicted at any time of fraud, sexual offenses, use of a motor vehicle to commit a felony, a <br />
crime involving property damage and/or theft, acts of violance, or acts of terror. <br />
Chicago A: May not have been found or determined guilty of a felony, a crime involving <br />
moral turpitude, the illegal sale or possession of a controlled substance, or sexual abuse or <br />
solicitation of a child in the past five years. <br />
Chicago B: May not have been found or determined guilty of a forcible felony, a crime <br />
involving moral turpitude, the illegal sale or possession of a controlled substance, or sexual <br />
abuse or solicitation of a child in the past five years. Fingerprints are taken for the check.
