to es menos cruento. En cuanto a
la eficacia se obtiene una respuesta
positiva a la implantación
en un 83% de los pacientes mientras
que en el caso de los sometidos
a microfractura es del 62%.
En la mayoría de los pacientes el
daño se resuelve un año después
de la implantación. No parece
tampoco que se produzca ningún
efecto secundario adverso con
este tipo de tratamiento.
En el campo de la Medicina Regenerativa
aplicada a la traumatología
existen varias áreas de investigación
abiertas para la regeneración
ósea, la regeneración del
cartílago articular y el desarrollo
de sustitutos óseos. En la Figura 4
se muestran algunos ejemplos de
productos en desarrollo de Terapia
Celular para la regeneración
de cartílago (27), algunos ya comercializados
y otros en desarrollo,
y en la Figura 5 para la regeneración
de hueso (27).
