Paige (1999) defined intercultural instrument as any measurement device that
indentifies, describes, assesses, categorizes or evaluates the cultural characteristic of
individuals, a groups or an organizations.
The same author conducted a survey in 1999, asking members of the International
Academy for Intercultural Research (IAIR). He asked very prominent trainers
and researchers about the most used instruments in intercultural training. With
their replies he was able to list the instruments as following:
