Installation Environment<br />
For optimum performance life of the drive, install the drive in an environment that meets the conditions listed below.<br />

<strong>Drive</strong> reliability improves in environments without wide temperature fluctuations.<br />

Install the drive in an area free from:<br />
• oil mist<br />
• radioactive materials<br />
• combustible materials (e.g., wood)<br />
• harmful gases<br />
• excessive vibration<br />
• direct sunlight<br />
The surrounding area can contain the following chemicals and solvents.<br />

NOTICE: Never allow a constant stream of the solvent or chemicals listed above to be sprayed directly onto the drive.<br />

Installation Orientation and Spacing<br />
Always install the drive in an upright position. Leave space around the unit for proper cooling as shown in the figure on the right.<br />
Note:<br />
<strong>V1000</strong> Series <strong>IP66</strong> <strong>Type</strong> should not be installed using the Side-by-Side method possible with other models.<br />
