La Cangreja National Park
In one of Costa Rica’s newest national parks, Alpha 3 built a wheelchair access path,
only the second in the country. This will bring in valuable tourism dollars, which allows the
rangers to continue conserving and protecting a huge area of rainforest.

come together throughout our time here; working, laughing, sleeping and eating in the
jungle! Mud, sweat and hard work have brought us all closer and I feel we have all become
stronger individuals as we have grown as a team.”

“My personal highlight was after a good 6 days of hard work in the baking heat. We took
a four and a half hour hike through a mystical jungle to stumble across the most magical
waterfall ever. Simply fantastic. Also, seeing the progression of the path has made me feel

En uno de los parques nacionales más nuevos de Costa Rica, Alpha 3 construyó un
acceso para silla de ruedas, el segundo en el pais. Esto traerá más turismo y por lo tanto
más dinero, lo cual permitirá a guardaparques continuar con la conservación y protección
de una inmensa área de bosque lluvioso.
“Lo más interesante de mi experiencia no puede ser enfrascado en un solo momento.
En realidad ha sido el observar al grupo convivir juntos, trabajando, riendo, durmiendo y
comiendo en el bosque. Barro, sudor y arduo trabajo nos ha unido más y siento que nos ha
convertido en individuos más fuertes a como fuimos creciendo como grupo”

“Mi mejor experiencia fue después de 6 buenos dias de arduo trabajo bajo el intenso calor.
Nos tomó cuatro y media horas de caminata a través de un bosque místico tropezando
con la más mágica catarata. ¡Simplemente fantástica!. También, ver el progreso del
sendero me hizo sentir ¡ como un padre orgulloso!”
