3. Movilidad de litio en compuestos con
estructura Nasicon
Li 1.2
+Ti 1.8
4+R 0.2
3+(PO 4
) 3
(R= Al 3+ , Ga 3+ , Sc 3+ , In 3+ ) mediante
RMN (11 MHz) e Impedancia Compleja (10 -1 -10 9 Hz),
orden Al>Sc>Ga>In.
3. Lithium mobility in Nasicon
compounds
The study of the rhombohedral series
Li 1.2
+Ti 1.8
4+R 0.2
3+(PO 4
) 3,
(R= Al 3+ , Ga 3+ , Sc 3+ , In 3+ ) by NMR (11
MHz) and Electrical Impedance (10 -1 -10 9 Hz), has shown
that Li conductivity increases in the sense Al>Sc>Ga>In.
In the case of Li 1.2 Ti 1.2 Al 0.2 (PO 4 ) 3 , the conductivity is near
to that reported in the best ion conductors s dc
= 3.10 -3
S.cm -1 ) (1) . In this compound, some correlation has been
detected at 300 K in motion of Li ions, that disappears
above 500 K. In particular, the correlation factor B that
relates activation energies of short and long range
motions, E m
=E MB
B increases from 0.62 to 1 (2) .This fact
produces a decrease of the activation energy E M from
0.32 to 0.19 eV. The observed deviation of conductivity
from the Arrhenius behaviour has been ascribed to the
formation of vacancies in sites M1 what increases the
amount of conduction channels for lithium (disorder in
M 1 and M 2 sites occupancy in the Nasicon’s structure).
Composites made from LiSn 2 (PO 4 ) 3 as ionic conductor
and Teflon as insulating matrix have been prepared.
Their microstructure and ionic conductivity have been
analyzed. The ionic conductivity depends on the
LiSn 2 (PO 4 ) 3 content according to a percolation model.
4. Movilidad de los iones litio en
perovskitas
4. Lithium mobility in perovskites
Li 3x La 2/3-x TiO 3
The Rietveld analysis of neutron diffraction patterns of
series Li 0.2 La 0.6 TiO 3 and Li 0.5 La 0.5 TiO 3 , recorded between 5-
773 K, showed the existence of an orthorhombic-tetragonal
transition at 800 K in the first perovskite (1) and a
rhombohedral-cubic transition at 950 K in the second
one (2) . The ND structural analysis has shown that in
both cases the samples heating produced the elimination
of octahedral tilting but did not affect the vacancy
distribution of perovskites. The study of the series
Li 0.2-x Na x La 0.6 TiO 3 and Li 0.5-x Na x La 0.5 TiO 3 showed that Li
mobility decreases when the sodium content increases,
decreasing six orders of magnitude when the number
of vacancies of the perovskite decreases below the percolation
threshold (x= 0.26 and 0.31) (3) . These results
underline the influence of the concentration and the
distribution of vacancies in the conductivity of these
compounds.
