Paulo Leal Ferreira – Biodata With the agreement between Fundação Instituto de Física Teórica and UNESP, all the personal, scientific activities and graduate courses (Master and Doctor Programs) were transfered to UNESP. The Fundação IFT remains the owner of the land, buildings and library, located in Rua Pamplona, 145. Prof. Paulo Leal Ferreira, permanent member of the Council Board of Fundação IFT, resign his position in 2001. Paulo Leal Ferreira – Biodata About his retirement He was retired compulsory, under the Federal legislation, CLT, due to an internal normative rule of UNESP. The University did not pay attention to the fact that the retirement at the age of 70 is not, in principle, compulsory under the CLT legislation. In case being allowed by Unesp to remain active for a few years after the age 70, he will be benefited by the transformation of the working regime law. Previously, all the working contracts of people in IFT was regulated by the federal CLT regime. In 1998, the contracts are transfered to the public São Paulo state regime, with the advantage of full salary retirement. As a result, his retirement pension was less that 20% of his previous salary (obviously not enough to pay his expensive medications).
