Sam says enjoy life!
the project
this art project was born as a tribute to my
sister Sam. She and my niece ruby died in
the tsunami in thailand in 2004 and my family
founded an Ngo called www.samandruby.com.
Sam says enjoy life arises with the creation of
a line of merchandising and kitchen textiles
(aprons, mittens, etc..
partNerShIp
the project is part of a collaborative network
with artists and nonprofit associations.
the aim would be to form a cooperative to promote
artistic “positivity and creativity.”
SaM SaYS eNjoY lIFe together with the
participation of various artists each portraying
their vision of Sam inspired from videos and
photographs of Sam’s life. each drawing with
fun, positive catch phrases.

Says Sam aims are:
1. SuStaINable and local production in each
country where SaM SaYS eNjoY lIFe sets
up.
2. all designing, sewing, printing, etc. is carried
out by charities or foundations of SocIal
INtegratIoN.
beNeFItS
SaM SaYS eNjoY lIFe is looking for sustainability,
collaborative work and social benefit.
the aim of this partnership is that eventually,
everyone involved will receive some kind of
financial compensation for their efforts and
commitment and it will distribute it’s tax-free
profits to various different charities.
We would like to help existing charities supporting:
children, the aged and the disabled.
Who WaS SaM
Sam was a positive, joyful, exhilarating, spontaneous,
sweeping, radical, friend of friends and,
above all, not at all indifferent to life.
the objective of Sam says enjoy life, is to convey
this message of optimism and love of life.
this catalog reflects the spirit of optimism with
little snippets of daily positivism . Whilst wanting
to spread the message “live life to the full”
or “vit la vie en rose” in the small gestures and
actions of everyday life, for example, cooking
and shopping.
