Anti-slip resistance<br />
Anti-slip resistance is a feature that affects the safety of final users (only valid for floor coverings).<br />
The standard of measurement to calculate anti-slip resistance is the coefficient of friction (both static and dynamic), that is to say the force, parallel to the surface, required to create<br />
movement between two bodies and/or objects, therefore the force that determines balance.<br />
The greater this coefficient is, the lower the slipperiness of the floor.<br />
Three test methods are commonly used to calculate anti-slip resistance:<br />
1. ANTI-SLIP COEFFICIENT<br />
DIN 51130 is a German standard that measures the anti-slip resistance for industrial and working areas with slippery surfaces.<br />
DIN 51097 is a German standard that determines the anti-slip features of products in wet areas. The test is carried out with the operator walking barefoot on the floor.<br />
