SUMMARY
The work we present in these Bascologists' Lnternational Meetings is the first part
of a wider investigation project about the description of the present euskara. In this
first stage, we are concretely interested in the study of the phonic aspect in the
presente use of the euskara, in the changing situation, which is particularly intense and
quick nowadays, trying to detect the new phonetico-phonological habits that happen
among us, and to qualify them.
The data which we offer here have been got through a slow reading of contemporary
texts (written from 1976 to 1980), in euskara batua «normalized basque », of
