Estudio sobre el comercio de bazar y tiendas de conveniencia no integradas Página 87 ANEXOS The bazaars and convenience retailers are characterized by age, already existing for seven years, an average size of 119 m 2 and with two or less employees. The bazaars are open every day between 8 to 10 hours, except Sundays and bank holidays. The convenience retailers are open more than 12 hours every day of the week. The bazaars commercialize mainly drugstore products, stationeries and household products. These storekeepers buy the goods cash from various providers that supply them with all kind of products. The majorities are pessimistic concerning the evolution of their business and believe that next year their turnover will decrease or stay the same, mainly due to a stronger competition in the sector and, according to the Spanish storekeepers due to the unfair competition with storekeepers of other nationalities. Only 60% stated to belong to an association of storekeepers. The profile of the owner is between 25 and 45 years old, have a Spanish or Chinese nationality, with primary or secondary education and without any special vocational training in commerce. The wholesale bazaars exist for more than 3 years, with about 7 employees and a surface of about 1000 square meters. Their principal source of provisioning is the acquisition of goods directly from the manufacturers in the market of origin.
