En vista de una instancia de Jayme de Torres da la Compañia de Jesus, en que solicita
una mision de treinta sugetos, y quatro Coadjutores para las que su Religion tiene en la
Nueva Espãña [mentioning among other places where missionaries were needed
Sonora, Pimeria, and the Californias]. sin embargo de lo que expone el Fiscal...es de
parecer de que se conceda esta Mision.

expresa..

Con motivo de aver concedido V.M. al teniente Coronel dn. Joseph Fayni el Govierno
de la Nueva Vizcaya, y no expresarse en el Decreto la circunstancia de Capitan
General denominacion que se ha dado á sus antecesores, propone á V.M. la duda que
en este asumpto se le ofrece, con dictamen de que assi á este Govor. como a los
demas que se expresan [New Mexico, Texas, and Nuevo León], se les intitule en
adelante comandantes Generales de sus respectivos Distritos.
