Switch off the helmet while the battery is being recharged.
Do not put on the helmet while the battery is being recharged.
Charging the battery:
Conlink the battery charger to the mains (220V).
Plug the battery-charger jack into the socket inside the helmet.
If the battery-charger LED lights up, then the jack has been plugged in correctly
and the battery is being charged. When the LED switches off, the battery has
been charged.
Charge the battery fully before using the D Nect system for the first time.
For subsequent use, the battery may also be recharged for short periods.
However, it is always best to fully charge the battery whenever possible.
Complete autonomy is not guaranteed if the battery is not fully charged.
CAUTION: use only the battery charger supplied. Do not charge the battery
with any other equipment. Do not put the helmet on while the battery is being
recharged.
LINKING: overview
Two helmets can only communicate only after being linked, i.e. they have to be
introduced to one another. A helmet and a Bluetooth* mobile telephone also
have to be linked if they are to communicate.
A helmet can be linked as a Master or as a Slave.
Before deciding which helmet is the Master and which the Slave, it is important
to understand the difference. A helmet that has been linked as a Master can be
linked back up as a Slave and vice versa: simply repeat the linking procedure.
Each helmet can be repeatedly linked back up with any helmet equipped with
a D Nect system.
The main difference between Master and Slave is that in interphone mode
(driver and passenger aboard) ONLY the Master helmet is able to hear an
incoming call, notification of which is given by a tone repeated inside the helmet.
The Master helmet has to be linked to both the Slave helmet and the mobile
telephone if it is to communicate with both.
Any helmet (Master or Slave) that is not linked in interphone mode can use the
mobile telephone it is linked to as a Master. Consequently, when the telephone
receives a call a tone sounds repeatedly in the headphones and the call can be
answered by pressing the multifunction button on the helmet. (For further
information see the “Telephone use” section).
All links are memorised even when the helmets are switched off. They are
