Cefoperazone Sodium/Nystatin Discs 2 dishes (15 discs/dish)<br />
Thallous acetate 2 dishes (15 discs/dish)<br />
Dienes Stain 1 Vial (2.5 mL/vial)<br />
Antimicrobial Discs<br />
A single white CN antimicrobial disc yields an approximate<br />
concentration in agar and broth of:<br />
Cefoperazone sodium 100.0 μg/mL<br />
Nystatin 50.0 U/mL<br />
Each pink TA antimicrobial disc yields approximately:<br />
Thallous acetate 250.0 μg/mL<br />
Dienes stain - contains methylene blue and azure II.<br />
MATERIALS REQUIRED BUT NOT PROVIDED<br />
Sterile pipets, or<br />
Sterile swabs, or<br />
Sterile bacteriological loop<br />
Sterile forceps<br />
Conventional microscope with 10x eyepieces and 10x objective or<br />
dissecting microscope with 70x to 100x magnification.<br />
Incubator capable of maintaining temperatures of 34° C to 37° C.<br />
PRECAUTIONS AND WARNINGS<br />
Do not use if the Mycotrim <strong>RS</strong> flask is cracked or if the media<br />
shows signs of contamination. The broth should be clear and<br />
reddish-colored with no signs of cloudiness.<br />
