Sedum oxypetalum<br />
H.B.K.<br />
Arbusto <strong>de</strong> porte erecto, fanerofíto y hermafrodita.<br />
Es una planta caducifolia que llega a medir <strong>de</strong> un<br />
metro a metro y medio <strong>de</strong> altura. El tallo está<br />
ramificado y la corteza presenta exfoliaciones.<br />
HOJAS:<br />
Alternas <strong>de</strong> forma oval y finamente tomentosas.<br />
FLOR:<br />
Actinomorfa. Las inflorescencias son ligeramente<br />
perfumadas y forman cimas terminales multiflorales.<br />
Los pétalos <strong>de</strong> rojizos a blanquecino<br />
y las anteras son rojas. Presentan nectarios<br />
amarillos <strong>de</strong> forma oblonga.<br />
FRUTO:<br />
Folículo con semillas <strong>de</strong> color café y <strong>de</strong> forma<br />
oblonga.<br />
ASPECTOS ECOLÓGICOS:<br />
Los individuos suelen encontrarse agrupados<br />
sobre suelo rocoso. La polinización la realizan los<br />
colibríes.<br />
USOS:<br />
Ornamental.<br />
FENOLOGÍA:<br />
Florece <strong>de</strong> junio a octubre, fructifica <strong>de</strong> agosto a<br />
noviembre y pier<strong>de</strong> sus hojas <strong>de</strong> mayo a septiembre.<br />
