El Gobierno francés ha clasificado al AT como una secta de culto. El
autor encuentra el origen de esta decisión en la influencia que Jacqui
Schiff ejerció en el AT. Al recomendar a sus pacientes que cortasen sus
lazos familiares como un paso obligado para lograr la reparentalización,
el AT en Francia ha sufrido las consecuencias de esta técnica tan
particular.
Cornell argumenta que ha habido poca controversia en el pasado sobre
los procedimientos del Cathexis Institute y que todavía siguen vigentes
los contenidos teóricos de esa corriente, por lo que hay que solucionar
este problema, sometiendo a discusión los supuestos de esa Escuela
y abriendo el AT al diálogo con otras escuelas profesionales a través de
Revistas, Congresos y conversaciones entre colegas.

ABTRACT
French Government has classified TA as a cult sect. The authos finds
that decision origin in the Jacqui Schiff’s influence on TA. By recommending
her patients to sever their familiar ties as a required step for reparenting,
TA has suffered the consequences of that so special technique.
The author reasons that there has not been much controversy in the
past about Cathexis Institute procedures and that even today keep its force
the theoretical contents of that current; because of that, it is necessary
to solve this problem, by discussing the background of that school and by
opening TA to dialog with other professional communities through journals,
conferences and conversations among peers.
