FRIEDRISH HOLDERIN Destinado a la carrera eclesiástica, estudiante en Tibinga conoce a Hegel y Schelling, rechaza la ordenación y se dedica a la enseñanza, sufre grave crisis de locura que le depararía la muerte. Sus obras: Himno a la humanidad (1791) o Himno al amor (1791), "A las parcas", "Al dios del sol "El aeda ciego". Siguió, por último, una poesía entre mística y simbólica de una gran profundidad y belleza, como El archipiélago (1800), El Rin (1802) o Recuerdo (1803), obra en la que ya se nota su mente trastornada.
FRIEDRICH VON HARDENBERG Este varón conocido literariamente como Novalis, estudió Derecho ejerciéndolo como asesor de minas, muerta su prometida, Sofía Von Kuhn, luego lo haría él también. Obras: Canciones espirituales (1799) , Enrique de Ofterdingen , Himnos de la noche, Enrique de Ofterdingen.
