EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Hypertension is a condition generally asymptomatic in which the abnormal elevation of
the pressure within the arteries increases the risk of disorders such as ruptured aneurysm,
heart failure, myocardial infarction. The purpose of this study was to evaluate patients
who have hypertension by conducting laboratory tests chemistry and hematology,
identifying risk factors and lifestyle in each of the patients in the Parish Constantino
Fernandez. The method or modality used was applied since we started and Mixed existing
data (field research and laboratory). This was a descriptive cross-sectional study that
describes the relationship between the values Hypertension chemistry and hematology
laboratory tests.
This study was conducted through a series of activities that comprised identify our
universe of study was composed of ten hypertensive patients were visited patients in their
environment, as well as we focus on developing a survey to guide us in the main risk
factors obtaining the patient's permission for the study through the informed consent,
were conducted laboratory chemistry and hematology within which we mentioned to
glucose, urea, creatinine, lipid profile (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, LDL), electrolytes
(sodium and potassium), hematocrit and hemoglobin
As results are obtained which is more common in women, age ranged between 46 and 68
years with a low level of study, within the risk factors that had got addictive habits like
smoking and alcohol, and their power was Unhealthy most patients did not perform
physical exercise, also overweight, family history of hypertension, in chemistry and
hematology parameters the results obtained were within reference ranges, indicating that
urea, creatinine, triglycerides and potassium showed altered. May conclude that the
values of the chemistry and hematology tests performed in hypertensive patients can not
always be altered at all, since this will depend on other factors such as lifestyle that each
present.
