Contraventeos Concéntricos Antes de los años 60’s los contraventeos concéntricos se utilizaron para resistir cargas laterales debidas a viento. En la década de los 60´s y 70´s se utilizaron los sistemas contraventeados concéntricamente para resistir cargas debidas a sismo. Las recomendaciones de diseño de contraventeos concéntricos, desarrolladas en los 60’s fueron adaptadas al diseño sísmico.
Contraventeos Concéntricos En los años 70’s y 80’s se llevaron a cabo amplias investigaciones referentes al comportamiento no lineal de sistemas contraventeados, que fueron la base para los códigos actuales de diseño.
