subordinats.»
9 §1.3.
10 RISSELADA, 1993: 42: «When the action involved is the addressee’s,
the speech act is a directive. The commitments of the speaker
involve that the speaker is presuppo sed to consider the realization of
the content of the directive preferable to its non- realization, for whatever
reason».
11 RISSELADA, 1993: 46: «The distinctions between the various types
of directives can, however, be described in a more insightful way on
the basis of the following crite ria, which relate to two specifi c aspects
of directive speech acts: (i) the content of the directive in relation to
the speaker’s and addressee’s interests; (ii) the extent to which the
action that is specifi ed in the content of the directive is forced upon the
addressee; or formulated differently, the extend to which the speaker
leaves the addressee an op tion of non-compliance».
12 RISSELADA, 1993: 40: «Starting with speech acts that pertain to
facts (and opi nions about facts), we can distinguish between assertives
and questions. Both types of speech act are concerned with the
description of states of affairs in some real or hypo thetical world. They
differ, however, as to their orientation, which here involves the responsibility
for the description. In the case of assertives this responsibility is
taken by the speaker».
