La <strong>electroforesis</strong> <strong>vertical</strong> es una técnica que utiliza geles <strong>de</strong> poliacrilamida<br />

(PAGE) para la separación <strong>de</strong> diferentes moléculas en función <strong>de</strong> su<br />

peso molecular y carga eléctrica. Resulta por tanto una técnica <strong>de</strong> gran<br />

utilidad en laboratorios <strong>de</strong> investigación para análisis <strong>de</strong> ácidos nucleicos<br />

y proteínas ya que permite separar e i<strong>de</strong>ntificar los componentes <strong>de</strong><br />

un extracto celular y, combinada con otras técnicas permite por ejemplo<br />

<strong>de</strong>tectar anomalías moleculares o analizar el aumento o disminución<br />

<strong>de</strong> la síntesis <strong>de</strong> una proteína como consecuencia <strong>de</strong> un <strong>de</strong>terminado<br />

tratamiento.<br />

La cubeta <strong>de</strong> <strong>electroforesis</strong> <strong>vertical</strong> <strong>de</strong> Nahita presenta electrodos <strong>de</strong><br />

platino resistentes a la corrosión y dispone <strong>de</strong> todo lo necesario para<br />

la preparación y <strong>electroforesis</strong> <strong>de</strong> geles <strong>de</strong> dimensiones 82x82 mm:<br />

<strong>Cubeta</strong> o tanque externo fabricado en material acrílico <strong>de</strong> alta calidad<br />

y en una sola pieza sin junturas que evita las fugas <strong>de</strong> líquido y las<br />

roturas.<br />

Soporte para geles: en el mismo soporte se lleva a cabo la<br />

polimerización y posterior <strong>electroforesis</strong> <strong>de</strong> los geles minimizando su<br />

manipulación y facilitando y agilizando el trabajo.<br />

Dispositivo para la polimerización <strong>de</strong> los geles con junta <strong>de</strong> silicona<br />

en la base que proporciona un perfecto sellado para evitar fugas <strong>de</strong><br />

poliacrilamida que constituyen un riesgo tóxico para el usuario.<br />

Placas <strong>de</strong> vidrio planas y placas <strong>de</strong> vidrio formateadas y con<br />

espaciadores fijos <strong>de</strong> 1 ó 1.5 mm grosor para la preparación y<br />

<strong>electroforesis</strong> <strong>de</strong> los geles.<br />

Juego <strong>de</strong> peines <strong>de</strong> 10 y 15 pocillos para geles <strong>de</strong> 1 y 1.5 mm<br />

grosor.<br />

Placa gruesa <strong>de</strong> vidrio para utilizar en caso <strong>de</strong> realizar la <strong>electroforesis</strong><br />

<strong>de</strong> un único gel.<br />

Vertical electrophoresis is a technique that uses polyacrylami<strong>de</strong> gels<br />

(PAGE) for the separation of different molecules <strong>de</strong>pending on their<br />

molecular weight and electrical charge. Therefore, it is a very useful<br />

technique in research laboratories for protein and nucleic acid<br />

analysis since it allows separating and i<strong>de</strong>ntifying the different<br />

components of a cellular extract and, combined with other techniques<br />

allows for example <strong>de</strong>tecting molecular anomalies or analyzing<br />

changes in protein synthesis as a consequence of a certain treatment.<br />

Nahita <strong>vertical</strong> electrophoresis cell presents two corrosion-resistant<br />

platinum electro<strong>de</strong>s and is supplied with all the necessary elements<br />

to carry out casting and electrophoresis of 82x82 mm gels:<br />

External cell or tank ma<strong>de</strong> of a unique seamless high quality<br />

acrylic material piece to avoid leakage and breakage.<br />

Gel support: gel casting and electrophoresis are performed at the<br />

same support minimizing gel manipulation and speeding up and<br />

making work easier.<br />

Gel casting <strong>de</strong>vice with a silicone base for a perfect sealing that<br />

avoids acrylami<strong>de</strong> leaks that constitute a toxic risk for the user.<br />

Glass plates and notched glass plates with 1 mm or 1.5 mm thick<br />

fixed spacers for casting and running gels.<br />

Set of combs of 10 or 15 wells for 1 mm or 1.5 mm thick gels.<br />

Thicker glass plate for single gel electrophoresis.<br />
