LUIS GRAU or her claim to the same; in which case the Overseers of the poor of the city, township or district, respectively, where such child shall be so abandoned, shall, by indenture, bind out every child so abandoned, as an apprentice, for a time not exceeding the age herein before limited for the service of such children. Y a partir del dicho primero de noviembre no se considerará esclavo o siervo de por vida, o hasta la edad de 31 años, a ningún negro ni mulato, ahora en este estado, a menos que su nombre se haya inscrito como se ha dicho en tal registro, excepto los esclavos y siervos negros y mulatos que más adelante se excluyen. Por cada esclavo o siervo que inscriba como se ha dicho, el secretario tendrá derecho a unos honorarios de dos dólares asignados en sus cuentas por el tesorero del condado. VI.
