Resolved, That whosoever directly or indirectly abeted, 3 or in any way, form, or manner countenanced 4 the unchartered and dangerous invasion of our rights, as claimed by Great Britain, is an enemy to his 5 country –to America– and to the inherent and inalienable rights of man. 2. Resolved, That we, the citizens of Mecklenburgh county, do hereby dissolve the political bands which have connected us to mother country, and hereby dissolve 6 ourselves from all allegiance to the British crown, and abjure all political connexion, contract, or association with that nation, who have wantonly trampled on our rights and liberties – and inhumanly shed the innocent 7 blood of American patriots at Lexington. 8 3. Se decide: Que quien directa o indirectamente instigue, o en cualquier modo, forma o manera, permita la invasión prohibida y peligrosa de nuestros derechos, como reclama Gran Bretaña, es un enemigo de este país -de América- y de los derechos inherentes e inalienable del hombre. 2.
