The Judicial Selection Commission on Friday
announced its nominees for Hawaii Supreme Court
associate justice and for a judge in Maui County’s 2nd
Circuit Court.The associate justice vacancy will be
created by the impending mandatory retirement of
Associate Justice James E. Duffy Jr.The candidates
for his position include:• Derrick H.M. Chan• Daniel R.
Foley• David M. Forman• Craig H. Nakamura• Richard
W. PollackThe 2nd Circuit Court judge vacancy for the
islands of Maui, Molokai and Lanai was created by the
mandatory retirement of 2nd Circuit Court Judge
Shackley F. Raffetto. The candidates for his position
include:• Peter T. Cahill• Michelle L. Drewyer• Kelsey
T. Kawano• Lloyd A. Poelman• Douglas J.
