We’re Iván and Selina and we’re in the 4th year of secondary school. Not long ago, we took a
short trip to New York and we are going to tell you what we did during those two wonderful
First day: In the morning, we took the airplane at the Barcelona
airport and arrived at our destination at about 1.00 PM.
When we arrived to the hotel, we left our luggage in our
rooms and went directly to the city centre to have something
to eat. Walking along the streets of NY we went past
Wall Street, one of the most important global financial
centres. We also went past the Statue of Liberty
and the World Trade Centre, where we could see the
remains of the twin towers. Later, we also saw the Brooklyn
Bridge, which joins Manhattan with Brooklyn.
Second day: We got up early because we wanted to see most
of the tourist attractions. Therefore, we had breakfast and,
after that, we went directly to Madison Square Garden
to watch a Lakers game that turned out to be amazing!
When we were going back, on the way to the hotel, we
stopped to see the Clinton Castle in South Manhattan,
but we could not go in because we didn´t have enough time.
The White House in Washington, the place where the
US Presidents do their work, is also great and amazing. As
we made the most of the day, we arrived very late at the hotel.
Generally speaking, we had an interesting and exciting cultural
trip in which we saw lots of the most famous monuments
of NY and, of course, we took many photos. We learned a
lot of things and we strongly recommend you to visit NY.
