Installation instructions
The SK08A is designed for use with GE Security KSA700/FP1500 series
analogue addressable panels. The siren is loop-powered and requires no
auxiliary power supply. It is designed for indoor use only.
Installation
For general guidelines on system planning, design, installation,
commissioning, use and maintenance, refer to the EN54:14
standard and local regulations.
Electrical connections
Remove the siren cover as shown in Figure 1. Fix the siren base to the
wall using the holes provided. Ensure the siren is placed so that it may be
heard throughout the zone. Due to the high acoustic level it is
recommended that the siren be placed so as to avoid ear injuries.

Installation Instructions
Connect the siren to the loop as shown in Figure 2. Polarity must be
observed.
Once electrical connections are completed snap the siren onto the base
and rotate to lock.
Always verify large installations using a loop load calculator to confirm
that enough power is available on the loop.
Addressing
To avoid loop overloading when using loop-powered devices,
see the system installation and configuration guidelines in the
Loop Power and I/O Modules Application Note. This document
is available from your local distributor..
Each siren requires a numeric address between 128 and 252 for
identification purposes. This is set using DIP switches 1-7 located at the
rear of the unit (see page 8).
