Área de investigación: la asociación persigue promover la investigación, la enseñanza y
las publicaciones relacionadas con la historia contemporánea; facilitar el intercambio de
información, impulsar la realización de encuentros académicos, estimular la preservación
de fuentes históricas y establecer acuerdos institucionales con otras entidades españolas y
extranjeras. Edita la revista ayer y organiza un congreso bianual sobre temática histórica.

Research field: the Association aims at promoting research, teaching and publication relating
to contemporary history; facilitating the exchange of information; fostering academic encounters,
stimulating the preservation of historical sources, and establishing institutional agreements
with other Spanish and foreign organizations. it edits the journal Ayer and organizes a
biannual congress on historical topics.

Área de investigación: la asociación se dedica al estudio de la historia del siglo XX
español y europeo. promueve el conocimiento científico de las raíces políticas y culturales
de la sociedad actual, y con esta finalidad organiza jornadas de estudio, seminarios y, cada
dos años, un congreso internacional. patrocina, junto con el Centro de investigaciones
Históricas de la Democracia Española (CiHDE), la revista semestral Historia del presente.
Desde 2010, otorga cada año el premio de investigadores noveles “javier tusell”.

Research field: the Association focuses on the study of 20 th century history in Europe and
Spain. it fosters scientific knowledge of the political and cultural roots of present day society,
and to that aim it organizes workshops, seminars, and a biennial international congress.
Along with the Spanish Democracy Historical research Center, it sponsors the six-monthly
journal Historia del Presente. Since 2010, it awards the yearly Javier tussell Prize for young
researchers.
