Localidad San Isidro "La Gringa". Mpio. Santa María Cbimáplapas, Oaxaca. Area: Florística y Vegetación Dentro de esta comunidad se colectaron árboles, arbustos, hierbas y plantas que se encuentran sobre los árboles (epífitas), con el objetivo de conocer la flora de la localidad. Se realizo un muestreo con área en una zona poco perturbada de selva alta perennifolia. Se midieron todos los árboles con un perímetro mayor de 8 cm en un décimo de hectárea. El método de conservación de las plantas consiste, en intercalarlas entre periódicos y cartones para formar paquetes, estos se prensan, se colocan dentro de una bolsa de plástico y se les agrega una solución de agua y alcohol con el fin de evitar su descomposición y facilitar el transporte. En las instalaciones de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) las plantas se secan, se les asigna un nombre científico y son incorporadas a un herbario. Los datos que se obtuvieron del muesteo seran procesados en un programa de computación para su posterior análisis.
