CUARTO INFORME DE LA SALIDA A LA REGION DE LOS CHIMALAPAS, OAXACA. FECHA: 20 DE MAYO - 4 DE JUNIO DE 1995 LOCALIDAD: CHALCHIJAPA GRUPO: HERPETOLOGIA EDMUNDO PEREZ RAMOS LUIS CANSECO MARQUEZ. Se realizaron recorridos diferentes a los del mes de marzo, tratando de abarcar más la zona y llegar a una altitud mayor, con la finalidad de ver como se están distribuyendo las especies. En la salida que se llevó a cabo durante los días 20 de mayo- 4 de junio de 1995, en la zona de Chalchijapa, se capturaron 160 ejemplares, representantes de 33 especies (14 de anfibios y 19 de reptiles), ver cuadro 1. Es notable la presencia de algunas especies por la temporada de lluvias, como es el caso de los anfibios y algunas serpientes que no se habían recolectado en una época diferente; según los lugareños, la sequía estuvo muy fuerte en días anteriores a los visitados, por lo que en los días trabajados, la lluvia no fue suficiente para encontrar más especies que son esperadas.
