se desarrolló la ceremonia de clausura de los Cursos
y Talleres del Ayuntamiento en su edición de 2009.
Una cita en la que se hizo entrega de los diplomas
acreditativos a los trescientos noventa alumnos que
participaron en los talleres de folclore, pintura,
patchwork, bailes típicos o inglés en movimiento.
Los cursos se han venido desarrollando en nueve
centros del municipio desde el pasado mes de octubre
y ha contado con la participación de catorce monitores
y animadores socioculturales del municipio.
El éxito de participación de la edición que acaba de
concluir, ha hecho que la Concejalía de Cultura se
ponga manos a la obra para preparar la próxima edición
para la que se abrirá el período de inscripción en
la segunda quincena del mes de septiembre.
Además, el Ayuntamiento ha puesto a disposición
de los estudiantes que cursan su formación universitaria
y en ciclos formativos fuera de la isla, treinta mil
euros de beca para que puedan ejercer como
monitores en los talleres, senderismo, clases de apoyo,
etc., que se desarrollen en el municipio durante el
mes de agosto.

Gran Tarajal’s Auditorium was the stage of the
closing ceremony of the Ayuntamiento’s 2009 Courses
and Workshops. During the ceremony, diplomas were
handed out to all three hundred and ninety students
who participated in workshops of folklore, painting,
patchwork, typical dances or English.
Courses were organised in nine centres of the
municipality since last October with the participation
of fourteen instructors and socio-cultural animators
of the municipality.
The success in attendance of this latest edition has
motivated the Culture Council to start preparing the
next edition, for which the subscription period will start
during the second week of September.
Furthermore the Ayuntamiento is giving thirty
thousand euros in grants for students who are attending

university and other courses outside the island so that
they can teach as instructors in workshops, hiking,

Die Abschlussveranstaltung der Kurse und
Workshops der Gemeinde 2009 fand im Auditorium
von Gran Tarajal statt. Bei dieser Veranstaltung
erhielten die dreihundertneunzig Schüler, die an den
Kursen für Folklore, Malerei, Patchwork, traditionelle
Tänze und „Englisch in Bewegung» teilgenommen
hatten, ihre Diplome.
Die Kurse hatten im Oktober begonnen und fanden
in den neun Zentren der Gemeinde statt. Daran waren
vierzehn soziokulturelle Lehrer und Animateure der
Gemeinde beteiligt.
Wegen der großen Teilnahme an den Kursen, die
gerade zu Ende gegangen sind, beginnt das Amt für
Kultur schon, die Kurse für das nächste Jahr
vorzubereiten, so dass die Anmeldefrist Mitte
September starten kann.
Außerdem hat die Gemeinde den Studenten, die
außerhalb der Insel studieren, ein Stipendium von
dreißigtausend Euro zur Verfügung gestellt, damit sie
im August auf der Insel als Lehrer der Workshops, als
Wanderführer und als Nachhilfelehrer usw. arbeiten
können.

Con motivo de la celebración de la festividad de
Nuestra Señora de la Peña, el próximo mes de sep-

tiembre en la Localidad de Vega de Río Palmas, hasta
el 15 de julio de 2009 está abierto el plazo para la
presentación de solicitud para la instalación de puestos
y ventorrillos en dicha festividad.
Antes del día 15 de agosto deberán abonar las tasas
correspondientes al puesto que van a colocar, caso
contrario no se permitirá montar los puestos/
ventorrillos.
Para mayor información llamar al Departamento de
Cultura del Ayuntamiento de Betancuria, , de lunes a
viernes en horario de 09.00 h. a 13.00 h. Las normas,
tasas y modelo de solicitud, se pueden consultar

Applications for spaces and stalls for Nuestra Señora
de la Peña’s Fair next September in Vega de Río
Palma should be presented by the 15th July.
Taxes corresponding to the stalls will have to be settled
by the 15th August or the installation of said stalls won’t
be permitted. For more information please contact the
Culture Department of Betancuria’s Ayuntamiento,
Monday through to Friday between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.

STÄNDE UND BUDEN FÜR DAS FEST DER
HEILIGEN JUNGFRAU „NUESTRA SEÑORA
DE LA PEÑA»
Bezüglich der Feierlichkeiten der Heiligen „Nuestra
Señora de la Peña», die im September in Vega de Río
Palmas stattfinden werden, läuft bis zum 15. Juli 2009
die Frist, um eine Genehmigung für Stände und Buden
bei diesem Fest zu beantragen.
Bis zum 15. August müssen für jeden Stand die
entsprechenden Gebühren gezahlt werden, da die
Stände/Buden sonst nicht aufgebaut werden dürfen.
Für weitere Informationen kann man das Amt für
Kultur der Gemeinde von Betancuria anrufen, , von
Montag bis Freitag von 09.00 h. bis 13.00 h. Man
