1 General information<br />

This chapter should provide a general overview <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> advantages and<br />

options regarding <strong>the</strong> coin validator G-<strong>18.mft</strong> with a vending machine control<br />

system for 1-5-chute machines. The first section, however, is designed to<br />

help you navigate easily within <strong>the</strong>se <strong>operating</strong> instructions.<br />

General information about <strong>the</strong>se instructions<br />

These <strong>operating</strong> instructions describe <strong>the</strong> design and operation <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

electronic coin validator G-<strong>18.mft</strong> with a vending machine control system for<br />

1-5-chute machines. Chapters 6 und 7 explain <strong>the</strong> necessary steps for<br />

starting up and <strong>operating</strong> <strong>the</strong> coin validator. Chapter 8 explains how to clean<br />

<strong>the</strong> coin validator and remedy <strong>the</strong> cause <strong>of</strong> a malfunction.<br />

The appended index and glossary reduce <strong>the</strong> search for specific explanations.<br />

Since <strong>the</strong> G-<strong>18.mft</strong> can be used not only as a vending machine control<br />

system for 1-5-chute machines but also in o<strong>the</strong>r <strong>operating</strong> <strong>modes</strong>, <strong>the</strong>se<br />

<strong>operating</strong> <strong>modes</strong> have been briefly described in Chapter 3. You will find a<br />

detailed description and instructions regarding <strong>the</strong> use <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>se <strong>operating</strong><br />

<strong>modes</strong> in <strong>the</strong> separate general <strong>operating</strong> instructions for <strong>the</strong> G-<strong>18.mft</strong>.<br />
