Button and switches (additional control PCB) 1a 1b Button 3 is used to perform an automatic run of the vending machine functions such as escrow, selection buttons, pilot lights, product ejectors and motorized return mechanism before starting up the device (see Chap. 6 "Starting up") and to reset the error messages stored in the coin validator that inhibit the further acceptance of coins or disable the selection buttons (see Chap. 11 "Troubleshooting"). The lower of the two DIL switches 2 is used for the manual testing of all contacts of the vending functions such as escrow, selection buttons, product ejectors and motorized return mechanism (see Chap. 11 "Troubleshooting"). The upper DIL switch can be used to set up to five prices for up to five different products (see section "Set the prices" in Chap. 6 "Starting up"). 6 7 Interface – selection buttons and pilot lights in vending machine door 8a Interface – product ejector 1 8b Interface – product ejector 2 8c Interface – product ejector 3 8d Interface – product ejector 4 8e Interface – product ejector 5 The button and switches can be disabled for normal operation (see section "Disabling price and test switches/button in Chap. 7 "Operation"). 5 4 12 2 3 21
