Function Libraries 4.2.1.2 Go Online Since the settings are project-specific, a project must be open before you can adapt them. Choose OnlineLogin "Online" appears on CoDeSys' status line. Have you got communication problems, i.e. in case of "Create boot project" ? CoDeSys uses 2 adjustable timeouts for watching the communication. Increase the timeout-value (in ms) in the CoDeSys.ini-file. 4.2.2 CAN: Online CAN Function Libraries This section applies to Ventura Remote PLC CAN only. Programming directly via the CAN bus is the most practical approach whenever you wish to commission your system with a RS 232 terminal connected. You need a CAN converter for the PC used for programming (e.g. a CAN dongle provided by Peak) and you must adapt the CoDeSys programming system. Online CAN upon request only! Programming via CAN is subject to a couple of constraints. 57
