5.3.7 Functions of Internal Counters 5.3.7.1 Event counter Software Ventura Remote PLC has A, B and Ref terminals for a counter. The counter can be used either as A, B, Ref counter or as an event counter of pin A. Run the PLC Configuration Editor to choose a counting function. A, B, Ref is the default. Choose "Resources, PLC Configuration, Kuhnke Ventura Remote IO CAN (or DP), Internal IO, Counter1 A-BRef". Then choose "Extras, Replace element". The event counter is a 16-bit ring counter which counts the changes of pin A signals in the Sub-D plug. 5.3.7.1.1 Event Counter Setup Run the PLC Configuration Editor to set up the event counter. Choose "Resources, PLC Configuration, Kuhnke Ventura Remote IO CAN (or DP), Internal IO, Counter1 Event". Set the options as appropriate. 143
