Events and commands cause the PLC to adopt different
states.
� The user program is running.
� The PROFIBUS state is either "Operate" or it remains
"Offline". Data is transferred via the external process
image which is not synchronised with the user
program cycle.
� The user program stops running between two cycles.
� PROFIBUS retains its state, i.e. "Operate".
� The user program no longer runs.
� The state of PROFIBUS changes to "Clear". Zeros
are sent to the DP slave outputs. The reaction of the
remote data depends on the peripheral (DP slave).
� Except for the Retain variables (VAR RETAIN), all
variables are reset to the value that they were
originally initialised to (also applies to the variables
declared as VAR PERSISTENT!!). Variables not
explicitly assigned an initialisation value are set to
their default initial values (e.g. integers are set to 0).
Prior to overwriting the variables, CoDeSys displays a
security prompt.
A Reset is the same switching off the controller and
turning it back on (warm boot) while the program is
running.
