8.3.4 Connection: External braking resistor [X9] at the <strong>ARS</strong> <strong>2320</strong><br />
The <strong>ARS</strong> <strong>2320</strong> servo positioning controller has an internal brake chopper with braking resistor.<br />
For more braking power, an external braking resistor can be connected to pin-and-socket connector<br />
[X9].<br />

If no external braking resistor is used, a bridge has to be installed between PIN10 and<br />
PIN11 to activate the internal braking resistor.<br />
8.3.5 Type and configuration of cable [X9] at the <strong>ARS</strong> <strong>2320</strong><br />
The cable names given refer to cables made by Lapp. They have proven to be reliable and are<br />
successfully used in many applications. However, it is also possible to use comparable cables from<br />
other manufacturers, e.g. Lütze or Helukabel.<br />
For 400 VAC supply:<br />
