Mode of operation:<br />
The EMERGENCY STOP request inhibits the output stage enabling and the triggering of the relay for<br />
the driver supply of the IGBT output stage via the EMERGENCY STOP contactor. The drive coasts<br />
down and at the same time the holding brake of the motor, if available, is activated.<br />
The servo controller is in “safe stop” mode.<br />
The EMERGENCY STOP contactor has been approved as per EN954-1, safety category 3.<br />
A superordinate control monitors the “EMERGENCY STOP request” and “driver supply feedback”<br />
signals and checks them for plausibility. In the case of an error the power contactor will be shut down.<br />
The DC-link voltage remains present and can be used by the drive immediately after deactivation of<br />
the EMERGENCY-STOP switching device and after the enabling of the controller.<br />
The connection of the motor and the optional holding brake are not shown here, please refer to<br />
chapter 8 Electrical installation.<br />
The brake of the motor has to be designed such that it can stop the movement of the<br />
drive.<br />
