10.1 Licencing<br />
Operating system<br />
The operating system of <strong>Ventura</strong> <strong>IPC</strong>s is installed in the factory. The OS installed<br />
depends on which configuration option you ordered. Possible options<br />
are Microsoft Windows ® XP Embedded and Windows ® CE.NET.<br />
The licence key of the operating system is printed on the Windows licence<br />
label affixed to the outside of the housing. This original Microsoft label is the<br />
so-called COA (Certificate of Authenticity) which must not be removed from<br />
the device or moved to any other device. The label is your evidence of the<br />
device having a legal copy of the operating system installed in it.<br />
CoDeSys<br />
Depending on which configuration you ordered, a PLC runtime system is installed<br />
in <strong>Ventura</strong> <strong>IPC</strong> / <strong>Ventura</strong> <strong>IPC</strong>+. The relevant CoDeSys runtime licence<br />
label is affixed to the outside of the housing. This original 3S label of<br />
Smart Software Solutions must not be removed from the device or moved to<br />
any other device. The label is your evidence of the device having a legal copy<br />
of the CoDeSys software installed in it.<br />
