8 Troubleshooting<br />
8.1 General Problems<br />
Problem Cause Actions<br />
Unit won't work. Power not supplied to unit. Check power supply.<br />
Incorrect PC time and/or date. 1. At boot-up, press to run the<br />
BIOS Setup.<br />
2. Set the correct time/date in the Setup<br />
menu.<br />
Monitor won't work after booting<br />
the <strong>Ventura</strong> <strong>IPC</strong>.<br />
On-screen display won't work or<br />
not all the time, e.g. no picture<br />
or picture very dark.<br />
Cable not connected to monitor.<br />
BIOS failed to automatically find<br />
monitor data.<br />
Fluorescent lamp in monitor<br />
defective.<br />
USB device won't work. Operating system has no suitable<br />
driver for the USB device.<br />
Operating system does not<br />
support the USB interfaces.<br />
'System Status' dialog shows a<br />
temperature of more than 80°C.<br />
Excessive temperature inside<br />
the <strong>Ventura</strong> <strong>IPC</strong>.<br />
Attach cable properly.<br />
Measure the voltage supplied, check pin<br />
wiring.<br />
Set the TFT option of BIOS Setup to the<br />
correct resolution ( at boot-up).<br />
Run Control Panel utility or KUHNKE<br />
tool to adjust the monitor resolution (see<br />
7.4.2 ScreenRes).<br />
Contact the KUHNKE Customer Service<br />
to get a replacement for the defective<br />
fluorescent lamp<br />
Install correct driver; in most cases, the<br />
correct drivers can be obtained or downloaded<br />
from the manufacturer's Internet<br />
site.<br />
No corrective action.<br />
Ensure that the <strong>IPC</strong> is properly ventilated.<br />
Check the ambient temperature around<br />
the <strong>Ventura</strong> <strong>IPC</strong>.<br />
