<strong>Warhawks</strong> controlled the clock, converting 8-14 third downs and holding possession for 35:32. Free<br />

safety Jake Meckstroth lead both teams with 16 tackles, 9 of them solo. Warhawk linebacker Greg Arnold<br />

(Big Bend/Mukwonago) was credited with 10 tackles including 1.5 tackles for a loss.<br />

<strong>Whitewater</strong> extended it's win streak <strong>to</strong> 40 games, the longest active streak in college football. The streak<br />

also moved in<strong>to</strong> a tie with the University of Washing<strong>to</strong>n (1908-1914) for the fifth longest in NCAA his<strong>to</strong>ry,<br />

any Division.<br />

<strong>Whitewater</strong> has earned seven consecutive <strong>Wisconsin</strong> Intercollegiate Athletic Association Division III titles,<br />

advancing through the NCAA III playoffs the last six years <strong>to</strong> the championship game, the Amos Alonzo<br />

Stagg Bowl, where the <strong>Warhawks</strong> won national titles in 2007, 2009 and 2010.<br />

The University of <strong>Wisconsin</strong>-<strong>Whitewater</strong> scored the first five times it <strong>to</strong>uched the ball, with both the<br />

defense and special teams contributing, and extended the nation's longest active win streak <strong>to</strong> 41 games<br />

with a 59-0 win over Albion College in a NCAA III playoff first round game at Perkins Stadium in<br />

<strong>Whitewater</strong>, <strong>Wisconsin</strong> Saturday. UW-W, 11-0, will host Franklin College (IN), 10-1, in a second round<br />

game in Perkins Stadium November 26 at <strong>12</strong>:00. Tickets will be sold in the Connor University Center on<br />

The 59 points is the most <strong>Whitewater</strong> has scored in an NCAA playoff game since defeating Lakeland<br />

College 70-7 November 21, 2009 in <strong>Whitewater</strong>. It is the most points <strong>Whitewater</strong> has scored in any game,<br />

regular season or playoff, since <strong>to</strong>pping UW-River Falls 63-14 Oc<strong>to</strong>ber 23, 2010 in River Falls.<br />

On the third play of the game UW-W defensive back Noah Timm (Two Rivers/Two Rivers) intercepted<br />

Spencer Krauss' pass at the Albion 38 and returned it <strong>to</strong> the 11. Four rushes by Levell Coppage (Oak<br />

Park, IL/Oak Park), including a two yarder for the <strong>to</strong>uchdown, put UW-W in front 7-0 after Eric Kindler<br />

(German<strong>to</strong>wn/German<strong>to</strong>wn)'s extra point at 11:31.<br />
