Blanchard went 20-29, accounting for 277 yards in the air. Tyler Huber (Mukwonago/North Prairie) was<br />
on the receiving end of eight of those passes for 156 yards and 2 <strong>to</strong>uchdowns. Coppage led both teams<br />
in rushing yards with 74 on 14 carries, an average of 4.9 yards per carry.<br />
Jared Kiesow (Horicon/Horicon) led the <strong>Warhawks</strong> with six <strong>to</strong>tal tackles, but Ryan Cortez (Palatine,<br />
IL/Palatine, IL) chipped in five, two for a loss, and Greg Arnold (Big Bend/Mukwonago) <strong>to</strong>ssed in four,<br />
also two for a loss. Zack Cook (Necedah/Necedah) and Mykael Bratchett (Milwaukee/Hope) each<br />
recorded a sack. Cook’s forced a loss of seven yards and Bratchett’s a loss of 16. Noah Timm (Two<br />
Rivers/Two Rivers) picked off one Falcon pass in the third quarter for the only Warhawk interception of<br />
the day.<br />
The <strong>Warhawks</strong> own the nation’s longest football win streak -- in any level of four year college football.<br />
UW-W, NCAA III champions in 2009 and 2010, has won 35 consecutive games, more than any NCAA<br />
FBS, NCAA FCS, NCAA II, or NAIA school. <strong>Whitewater</strong>’s streak is not only longer but it is almost three<br />
times longer than the next team. Here are the longest current streaks in college football:<br />

Next up for UW-W will be UW-S<strong>to</strong>ut who comes <strong>to</strong> Perkins Stadium in <strong>Whitewater</strong> for a WIAC matchup on<br />
Friday, Oc<strong>to</strong>ber 14. The game is a 7:00 pm start and a fireworks display will be held following the game.<br />

<strong>Warhawks</strong> Defeat Blue Devils, Extend Win Streak <strong>to</strong> 36<br />

In the team’s first ever Friday night game, the number one nationally-ranked UW-<strong>Whitewater</strong> football<br />
team ran its record <strong>to</strong> 6-0 overall and 3-0 in the <strong>Wisconsin</strong> Intercollegiate Athletic Conference with a 42-<br />
21 win over UW-S<strong>to</strong>ut, 3-3 overall and 1-2 in the WIAC, before 6,209 fans in Perkins Stadium in<br />
<strong>Whitewater</strong>. The win, under the “Friday night lights” kept several streaks alive for the <strong>Warhawks</strong>, most<br />
notably the nation’s longest consecutive win streak, which now stands at 36. The team has also won its<br />
last 24 games played at Perkins Stadium, its last 20 WIAC contests, and ten straight against the Blue<br />
Devils.<br />
UW-S<strong>to</strong>ut received the opening kickoff of the game and was forced <strong>to</strong> punt after losing six yards on three<br />
offensive plays. UW-<strong>Whitewater</strong> wasted no time and recorded the game’s first score with 9:29 left in the<br />
first quarter. Quarterback Matt Blanchard (Lake Zurich, IL/Lake Zurich) found tight end Jason<br />
Ford (Palatine, IL/Fremd) on the goal line for a three-yard <strong>to</strong>uchdown pass <strong>to</strong> lead 7-0.<br />
The Blue Devils converted on fourth and short on the <strong>Warhawks</strong>’ 37 yard-line on their second possession<br />
and again on fourth down, four plays later on the 27 yard-line with a 9-yard pitch <strong>to</strong> running back Eric<br />
Brown. The Blue Devils were rewarded for their resolve two plays later when quarterback Ross Carey<br />
