Huber, a junior wideout, caught seven Blanchard (15-20-166) passes. Senior linebacker Greg Arnold<br />
(Big Bend/Mukwonago) led the Warhawks with <strong>12</strong> tackles plus two tackles for a loss.<br />
Kelly was 8-24 for 146 yards, adding 52 more on nine rushes <strong>to</strong> lead Platteville. Reit had four receptions<br />
for 81 yards. Sophomore lineman Alex Schaefer and freshman linebacker Jacob Zilbar both recorded ten<br />
tackles for <strong>UW</strong>-P, and Schaefer added two tackles for a loss.<br />
The George Chryst Game recognizes an outstanding defensive and offensive player for each team. Reit<br />
and Zilbar were honored by <strong>UW</strong>-P, Coppage and Arnold were chosen for <strong>UW</strong>-W.<br />
The win also pushes <strong>UW</strong>-W’s streak <strong>to</strong> 23 at Perkins Stadium and 18 in the WIAC.<br />
Saturday’s crowd is the fourth largest in school, and Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference<br />
his<strong>to</strong>ry. <strong>UW</strong>-W also holds the <strong>to</strong>p three, including the record <strong>12</strong>,189 set versus <strong>UW</strong>-S<strong>to</strong>ut Oc<strong>to</strong>ber 9 last<br />
year.<br />
<strong>Whitewater</strong> will travel <strong>to</strong> <strong>UW</strong>-River Falls for a 1:00 game Oc<strong>to</strong>ber 8. A fan bus has been organized, and<br />
pre-game tailgate area designated for Warhawk fans. The next home game will be Friday, Oc<strong>to</strong>ber 14,<br />
with <strong>UW</strong>-S<strong>to</strong>ut visiting Perkins Stadium for “Friday Night Lights”, a postgame presentation by the<br />
Warhawk marching band and fireworks. Tickets for <strong>UW</strong>-W home games are available Monday-Friday<br />
during normal business hours at the University Center ticket office on the main campus mall, and at<br />
Perkins Stadium on game day.<br />
Warhawks’ Streak <strong>to</strong> 35 with Win over Falcons<br />

Winning never gets old, for the 35 th time in a row the <strong>UW</strong>-<strong>Whitewater</strong> football team won, this time 42-10<br />
over <strong>UW</strong>-River Falls in River Falls Saturday. The Warhawks have now defeated the Falcons ten straight<br />
times. <strong>UW</strong>-W remains undefeated this season, 5-0 overall and 2-0 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate<br />
Athletic Conference. <strong>UW</strong>-W also boasts 23 straight wins on the road and 19 straight wins in the WIAC.<br />
<strong>UW</strong>-River Falls is now 0-5 overall and 0-3 in the WIAC.<br />
<strong>UW</strong>-W, ranked first in the D3football.com and American Football Coaches Association polls, forced the<br />
Falcons in<strong>to</strong> a three and out on the first possession of the ball game. The Warhawks followed by<br />
covering 52 yards in seven plays for the first score of the game, a rushing <strong>to</strong>uchdown by <strong>UW</strong>-W’s career<br />
<strong>to</strong>uchdown leader Levell Coppage (Oak Park, IL/Oak Park). The drive included a 34 yard reception by<br />
sophomore wide receiver Luke Menzel (Sheboygan Falls/Oostburg) and a fourth and one conversion by<br />
Coppage. The extra point by Eric Kindler (German<strong>to</strong>wn/German<strong>to</strong>wn) was good.<br />
Again the ‘Hawks forced the Falcons in<strong>to</strong> a three and out but this time they weren’t able <strong>to</strong> score on the<br />
ensuing possession. A third straight three and out followed for the Falcons and the Warhawks <strong>to</strong>ok over<br />
at their own 35 after downing the punt. On the third play of the drive Matt Blanchard (Lake Zurich,<br />
IL/Lake Zurich) threw his second interception of the season, just the fifth of his career, <strong>to</strong> Falcons’ senior<br />
defensive back Matt Ainsworth. However, the Warhawk defense came through and held the Falcons <strong>to</strong><br />
