removed eastward or from one town to another. Accordingly,<br />

the number of Jews compulsorily removed from their homes<br />

would be about 2,100,000, or in any case over 2,000,000, and the total<br />

of all uprooted Jews 4,150,000, or in any case over 4,000,000.”<br />
